Badass Stepmom, Mafia Wife

Sophie, who lost 27 jobs because of her acts of courage, stands up for a bullied little girl, Lily, in a restaurant—and is unexpectedly hired by Lily's father, Dante, a mob boss, as a contract wife at a million-dollar annual salary. She thought she'd only be looking after the child, but the wealthy household is full of abusive servants and oppressive rules. She flips tables and fights the butler, stands up to her domineering mother-in-law, and protects the child with her fearless grit—getting the silent Lily to speak again and gradually winning the cold Dante's heart. This job she was always ready to quit becomes the home she can't bear to leave.
